ABOUT ME

I was born in Melbourne, spent some of my childhood in Devonport, but mainly grew up in Sydney.

I spent 35 years in banking, working for an investment bank, as well as one of the major Australian banks.

I love travelling Australia by road and remote camping. We have some spectacular scenery and I find the country's vastness fascinating, as well as the idiosyncratic characters you meet on the way.

I have travelled the Kimberley, the Tanami Desert, far west Queensland, along the Gulf through Queensland and the Northern Territory, Kakadu, part of the Canning Stock route and throughout NSW, Victoria, South Australia and Tasmania. I have also navigated the Murray River from Echuca to the Murray Mouth via a tinnie with a bunch of mates.

My wife, Rebecca, also loves travelling Australia and has accompanied me on many of these adventures.
