Thank you for taking an interest in my writing adventure.

Once again I'm making commitments to get more committed to writing. I have put together a list of writing competitions with the intention of entering a few. I have started re-writing Drysdale to reflect some of the feedback from publishers. It will become quite a different book with some new characters and a much changed conclusion. My target for completing the re-write is the end of April.

I'm embarking on a cross Australia road trip to Ningaloo in April which will hopefully give me some experiences to distill into my writing. I love to observe the raw Australian feel that a road trip offers: the people, often quite strange, and the soul of a place.

If you haven't I'd encourage you to read the first chapter of Sea Country to see what you think.

Great day at the Sydney Writers' Festival with a few mates. We might have even lowered the average age. Got to hear Jane Harper talking about Exiles, Richard Fidler who's like a wind-up toy and Geraldine Brooks talking about Horse. Even had lunch at an old uni haunt, the Royal Hotel. The pool table is gone, replaced with screens of automated greyhound racing!
